This year’s Christmas Fayre was nothing short of magical – a heart-warming blend of community spirit, festive sparkle, and pure Christmas joy. From the moment the lights switched on to the final goodbyes at Santa’s Grotto, the entire event buzzed with excitement and togetherness.
Lighting Up the Season
Our Christmas light switch-on set the tone for a truly spectacular day. Families gathered, children cheered, and the village lit up with colour and celebration. The atmosphere was festive from the very first moment – crisp air, warm drinks, glittering lights, and smiling faces everywhere.
A Visit From Santa – 140 Children!
One of the biggest highlights of the day was Santa’s Grotto, beautifully set up thanks to the generous support of Seven Sisters Saw Mill, who kindly loaned the grotto free of charge. It became the heart of the celebration, with 140 children excitedly visiting Santa to share their Christmas wishes.
A special thank-you also goes to Nigel Wrenval, who donated chocolates that brought even more joy to the little ones. Their delighted faces said it all!
Brynaman Primary School Choir Shines
We were treated to a wonderful performance by the talented children of Brynaman Primary School. Their singing filled the fayre with festive warmth, and their confidence and enthusiasm were truly uplifting. It was one of those moments that remind us why community events are so powerful – they bring every generation together.
Local Makers Bring Creativity to the Fayre
This year, we welcomed 20 local crafters, each bringing their own handmade goods, festive treats, and creative talent to the fayre. From unique gifts to seasonal decorations, the stalls were full of charm and craftsmanship. It was inspiring to see so many people supporting local creators and taking home special items made with love.
A Heartfelt Thank You
To everyone who attended, helped, donated, crafted, performed, or volunteered – thank you. Events like this can only happen with the incredible support of our community. Together, we created a Christmas Fayre full of magic, memories, and festive joy.
